New Zealand Superannuation and Veteran's Pension: Modernisation and Simplification

Cabinet has agreed to a package of changes to New Zealand Superannuation and Veteran's Pension.
The core of the package is a shift toward assessing entitlement to these payments on an individual basis, by closing the option for a superannuitant to include a 'non-qualified partner' in their rate, and removing the application of 'spousal deduction' from standard rates of New Zealand Superannuation and Veteran's Pension.
Where information has been withheld, a numbered reference to the applicable section of the Official Information Act has been made.
