Peke Waihanga Artificial Limb Service: Contribution to Address Cost Pressures

This Cabinet paper requested $5.095 million for the Peke Waihanga Artificial Limb Service, enabling unforeseen and urgent critical cost pressures to be addressed.
The paper was submitted ‘out of cycle’ (outside the usual budget process) - noting that Peke Waihanga were unable to address these cost pressures from cash reserves, reprioritisation or fee increases, and that they were also unable to defer these cost pressures until the next budget cycle.
