Care in the Community\Covid-19 welfare response evaluation

These evaluation reports aim to understand how the Care in the Community (CiC) welfare response was delivered, how successfully it supported households, and identify lessons learned for future work to support communities.

Co-ordinated by MSD and delivered in close partnership with communities, the CiC welfare response connected people in need of assistance, providing 1.5 million food parcels, and other forms of social and wellbeing support, to households in self-isolation or otherwise affected by Covid-19.

Allen + Clarke’s survey workstream report

This evaluation report provides insights from surveys of 255 households who received CiC welfare support, community providers, Community Connectors, and regional leaders, alongside interviews with central government stakeholders involved in the delivery.

Kaipuke Ltd.’s case study workstream report

This evaluation report provides insights from interviews with 53 regional leaders across six case study regions.

MSD’s synthesis report

This synthesis report collates all evaluation evidence to identify insights from the response and lessons learned for future work to support communities.
