Shared care arrangements and wellbeing among families in Aotearoa New Zealand
MSD commissioned the Roy McKenzie Centre for the study of Families and Children at Victoria University of Wellington to analyse data from the New Zealand Income Support Survey on families with shared care arrangements for their children. The analysis focused on characteristics of shared care arrangements and families with these arrangements, in-kind support, and whether shared care arrangements and in-kind support are associated with wellbeing.
Families who care for children not their own: experiences of the New Zealand income support system
In this report, New Zealand Income Support Survey responses from families who care for children not their own were analysed to understand experiences of the income support system for this group. Findings for families who care for children not their own were compared to findings for other families with children.
