Super Gold Card
The SuperGold Card is a free discount and concession card available to all New Zealanders who are aged 65 years or over and those under 65 years receiving New Zealand Superannuation as a partner or the Veteran's Pension.
We work with SuperGold card partners to increase the range of services and products available to Seniors nationwide. We have a close working relationship with the Ministry of Transport who provide a concession for free off-peak travel.
Prisoner Reintegration
The prisoner reintegration programme supports prisoners who are leaving prison to reintegrate back into their community. The programme operates in every region except for Nelson, where there is no prison. The programme is voluntary for prisoners. The aims of the programme are to support the prisoner’s reintegration and help them achieve employment after release.
Deportees
We partner with other agencies to ensure reintegration services are available for returning offenders.
Driver Licences
We partner with other agencies to develop and participate in programmes that assist clients to obtain their drivers licence.
Work and Income provides funding for the following:
- specific driver licence programmes
- training and employment programmes which include a driver licence component (e.g. Training for Work and Skills for Industry programmes)
- Recoverable financial assistance to assist clients with licence application and testing fees.
Whiteware
MSD has a preferred supplier agreement with Fisher & Paykel to provide washing machines, fridges, freezers and combined fridge/freezers to clients. This enables clients to receive cost effective and quality appliances when they are needed.
